A recent addition to my commercial portfolio. A couple of architectural visualisation commissions for a plot development in the heart of Sussex. A series of views and angles were created for each plot and used as planning proposal images . Working to tight deadlines and tight budgets, each property was modelled, UV edited, textured directly in Cinema 4D using the 2D plans and elevations supplied by the architect.
Both properties use subsurface displacement to deform the geometry which has the effect of creating deformed geometry on a flat surface. It is this techniques that gives the impression that the building has individual tiles, or bricks and cladding. Although this increases the render times of the final images, I think the results are well worth the extra time to wait! 🙂
